In the muddle of seafood and barbecue restaurants in NMB, it's a nice change of pace to get a good steakhouse in the mix. That was exactly our mindset when we chose 21 Main and we have not one regret. From start to finish, the experience was superb. We were greeted by several smiling faces as we walked in the door and were promptly seated. The decor was very elegant - with a view of the sushi bar as soon as you walk in and just behind that was a glass enclosure engraved with the name of the restaurant and a waterfall within the enclosure. The restaurant was fairly busy with a wide range of tables - filled with couples and big families. Our waiter, Chuck greeted and introduced us to the restaurant as we were new diners at 21 Main. He went over the extensive wine selection (as any good steakhouse should have), recommended courses and the specials of the day. For appetizers, we ordered the award winning lobster bisque and some sushi rolls. Both were delicious - the lobster bisque was filled with chunks of lobster meat and the bisque itself was creamy and flavorful. The sushi was fresh and well presented. We chose to go with a petite sirah to go with our entrees - a 12 oz filet mignon and a 20 oz delmonico steak with sides of creamed spinach, whipped potatoes and collard greens. The pairing was perfect as the meats were cooked to specification and were juicy and flavorful. The sides were all very good and definitely a great portion, shareable for two people. Though it was busy and Chuck, our waiter had several tables, he still made sure that he made his way to all of his tables, spending significant time with everyone and engaged in personal conversation. The assistant manager came over during the meal to ensure that our experience was up to par, and we let her know that both Chuck, our waiter and Sean, the serving assistant were doing a wonderful job. After the filling meal - Chuck highly recommended the chocolate tort and although we were absolutely stuffed, we got it any way, and glad that we did. The tort was rich and delicious and capped off the meal perfectly. The dining experience was absolutely excellent and will be back again for sure the next time we are in town.

Absolute delight!!!! Service and steak were amazing!!! 5 stars all the way. We ll definitely be back. Raw oyster were so good as well as tataki appetizer. They have a great selection of steak. We ordered New York strip and it was Cooked to perfection. Nice wine selections and drinks. Highly recommended!

My husband and I both had steaks, each of which was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Our server, Karen, and the other folks assisting, took great care of us. Having Celiac and needing to eat gluten free can often be a challenge when eating out, but Karen was very knowledgeable about preparations of the dishes I inquired about and pointed me in the right direction. We definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for fine dining in the Myrtle Beach area.

One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Food was out of this world and our waiter Trevor was awesome! Wish I could eat here every night. The brie appetizer, the lobster bisque, and the salmon are all winners :)

After reading all the reviews from YELP and Trip Advisor, I thought we were in for a treat. We were so WRONG. After booking a reservation on OpenTable, the only spots were for 9PM or after. We settled for 9. we got there a few minutes before 9, and were asked to wait at the bar as they needed the extra time to set up. No problem. The restaurant is so beautiful on the inside and very nicely done. The bartenders where cordial and attentive and the night looked promising. After seeing another couple who came in after us be seated before us I started to worry. Around 9:10-9:15 we were finally seated and promptly given water and bread. The nightmare begins... Our waitress was a nice lady, but seemed like she was more focused on another table than ours. We ended up seeing the food runners and the bus girl, who refilled our water glasses and took our food away more than the server. We ordered the 21 Main sushi roll. DISGUSTING. This is not real sushi. It was sickeningly sweet and the tempura flakes? HAAAhaa, there was none. Just some stale, round pieces of I'm not sure what. I'm so thankful we only ordered one roll. My husband got the wedge salad next, and I opted for the "award winning" lobster bisque. The wedge salad was beautiful and delicious, and sadly the best part of the whole meal. The soup, it was not "award winning". It was heavy on the sherry, had rubbery small, and very few pieces of lobster and was served plain with nothing else. For the main course my husband got the petite filet and I ordered the seared scallops. All the grilled items (i.e. steaks, chops and etc...) had their side items to be ordered a la carte, much like your high-end steak houses. We opted for the whipped potatoes and the collard greens with smoked ham hock. So about an hour into the meal or more we finally got our main courses. We kept hearing tables around us complain about the slow service to themselves, along with the wait staff and assistant manager. I did not like to hear the assistant manager tell the table beside us that the kitchen was backed up and therefore the cause of the slow service and etc.. She did say it wasn't the customers' fault and were going to comp desserts for that table, but the table was so tired of waiting they didn't even want to wait for that! Don't blame them. Our main courses arrived, and first thing is first. My scallops looked great on a bed of mushroom risotto, BUT there was this large pile of fried spinach taking up whole dish that tasted oily and it was a waste of plate space. The scallops were sandy but mostly so salty, but the mushroom risotto was the kicker... It was oversalted. His filet had so much seasoning on the outside he couldn't tell if the steak itself was salty or if the demi glace was salty. Either way, it was both unedible. We sent the food back and they didn't charge us. Both sides were oversalted and at this point,at almost 11PM we were done and ready to leave. Overall, not a great place. Maybe it was just an off night? Who knows, but wont be back..

The food was incredible, surpassed only by our waiter Trevor Dalton. They create everything in house, including cutting the steaks in house, and you can really taste the difference. Trevor was excellent about explaining everything, while still giving us the space to enjoy our dinner. Due to the professions in our family, we each spend 3 to 4 nights a week in hotels in major cities across the nation. Finding a restaurant other than a breakfast place or "all you can eat buffet" that serves steaks that rival Texas or Chicago was a pleasant surprise. We will be back again!

Chuck Forro ,the waiter, was amazing!! He was very friendly and knowledgable!! Place was clean and decor was fresh. Beautiful ambiance. Service was fabulous from our waiter and all that helped out throughout our dinner experience. The assistant manger came to check on us, she was very nice. Food was amazing!! Lobster bisque is a must try! We loved our sirah wine we choose. The filet minion and Delmonico steak were delicious! The sides collard greens.. Spinach and whipped mashed were also fabulous! Food is great! Loved the bernaise sauce I ordered too! Everything was great! Nice time! Great dining experience! See you next year!!! :) Went back again!! Service was amazing!! Food was fabulous!! Assistant manger made us laugh, she is very nice!! Chuck makes you feel comfortable and has great conversation with you. Will be back again just because of him!! Sean the bus boy was more than a bus boy he was super friendly and honestly very sweet, enjoyed meeting him. All around another great experience and money well spent. I had dessert this time .. It was the chocolate cake ( tort) w raspberry sauce.. Very rich and very yummy!!!

This was such a fantastic choice for dinner. It's not the most advertised restaurant (we only heard about via an uber driver) but once you find it, you'll be revisiting it often. The menu seems extremely pricey and it is a la carte. However, the entrees are actually super reasonable as the steaks are nicely-sized and they come with sides. I had trouble choosing with between the filet beef tips and the prime strip as both sounded delicious. I ultimately chose the beef tips but was fortunate enough to get to try both. If you are in the mood for a compete dish where everything meshes together beautifully, go with the tips. The steak is incredibly tender and the mushroom and onion stew atop mashed potatoes makes the dish heart, well-rounded, and unified. On the other hand, if you're looking for a superb piece of steak to stand by itself, go with the prime strip. The steak is huge, perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the accompanying au poivre sauce had this strong peppercorn flavor with a beautifully light creaminess to it. Really though, you can't go wrong ordering either of the two.

If you are vacationing in the north myrtle beach area going to 21 main is a must. The food was great I had the 14oz delmonico ribeye. Everything was great especially our waiter chuck. He was awesome and really complimented the food and atmosphere. I'd highly recommend the restaurant and chuck if ur in the area.

First of all, it's a beautiful space, with a sushi bar in front right when you walk in with a bar behind it and a waterfall separating the two. Very pretty. I was super excited to try it out! It started going downhill when we sat at the bar. We sat there for a bit and no one said anything to us. Then a party of four or five came up and were immediately served. We just sat there while they served everyone else at the bar, no I'll be right with you, no acknowledgement. Finally the guy comes over and offers us a drink. Whew, back to happy with some wine. We ordered the "award winning" lobster bisque, crab cake, and godfather roll. The lobster bisque was the worst I've ever had. I couldn't quite place my finger on what it was but I couldn't even eat it. The lobster was like rubber. It was bad. For $13 per bowl for an award winning bisque I thought it was going to be amazing. I had to get the bartenders attention to let him know that something was not right with it, then he replies yea it does look a little different then the usual bisque we serve and offers me another bowl. I decline. I ordered tuna tataki instead. The tuna tataki would've been good if it wasn't swimming in the ginger soy sauce? It was like tuna tataki soup. The crab cake was pretty good! No complaints there! Then onto the Godfather roll. It was Krab, Spicy Salmon, Cream Cheese, Asparagus, Deep Fried and topped with Baked White Tuna, Krab and Masago. Sounds delicious, right? It was overcooked and dry without any of the baked tuna on top. My fiancé loved it though. They have an extensive wine by the glass list. I didn't get a chance to look at cocktails. They had a few beers on tap as well. I would definitely come back for some drinks and maybe try out their dinner menu.

One of my very rare 5 star reviews. Just a great place with a wonderful friendly staff. They have a sushi bar if your interested, but we went around to the real bar for a pre dinner drink. What we found was a packed bar because they have a very nice happy hour (actually 4-6) Sunday-Thursday. Some really great prices for food and drinks. I was surprised how little our drinks cost. Dinner in the dining room was delicious. I had the crab cake app and sea bass main. My wife's steak filet was great especially the sauce which came on the side. Even the bread is great here. There were almost no negatives, except for my pet peeve, which is the removing of plates before everyone is finished with dinner. This practice just makes the person who is still eating feel rushed. Bottom line is, I definitely will return.

My fiancé and I love food and always rely on those on this site. Let me tell you... This meal was amazing from start to finish! We started with a sushi roll (21 main). The roll was huge and filled with tuna. The bread comes out with Hawaii volcano salt and I asked for more and now I am in love with it. For our main meal, my fiancé had the NY strip (you will not be disappointed) and I had the scallops. The side that we got was smoked Gouda mac and cheese. By far the best side I have ever had!!! You need to come here. Our amazing knowledgeable waiter was Trevor. Ask for him!! We will recommend this place to anyone who visits this area.

My husband, daughter and I had dinner here on 6/9/15 and it was phenomenal. Our waiter, Patrick, was absolutely fabulous and took the best care of us. My husband had the 12 oz filet, I had the beef tips, and our daughter had the chicken tenders from the kids menu. For sides we had the asparagus and collared greens with ham hocks. Everything was beyond delicious. For dessert we had the cheesecake and the flourless chocolate torte....DIVINE. The establishment is gorgeous. Beautiful waterfall with the restaurant name behind the sushi bar. You are not cramped and have tons of space to move around. Out of all the places we ate in Myrtle Beach while on vacation, this one was the best and we will absolutely be back the next time we are there.

We visited 21 main while staying at the North Beach Plantation. We had reservations which is suggested! Upon arriving, we were privy to an awkward exchange between the hostess and a server while being seated. There was raised voices and eye rolling which is not a great way to start your experience. Our party consisted of 3 and we were seated right next to two 15+ very large parties. Not the greatest ideas considering the noise level. And, they were heavily drinking and being very loud. Our server was Whitney, and she was just a doll and wonderful. Service was very slow, but I don't believe that was any of her doing. They had many many large parties and upstairs packed as well. While she was explaining the menu and specials, the manager came up and started whispering orders in her ear, completely interrupting her conversation with us. Completely rude and unprofessional. There was also another server that kept coming up to our table and kept talking to us. He was nice, but it was a little rude and annoying when I am trying to spend time with my sisters. Now, to the food. The sushi is out of this world!!! I live in a town that does not have good sushi joints so this was quite a treat. And let me just say, the lobster bisque lives up to it's award winning status. It was by far one of the greatest things I have ever eaten!! My sister had the scallops which were great, but the spinach was extremely over salted. It was almost inedible. The collard greens that we ordered were the same way. My other sister ordered a filet and she was pleased with it. I ordered the strip steak due to the glowing suggestion of our server. I asked for medium rare. It was medium if not medium well. Such a disappointment for a $45 steak. All in all, the food was good with a few misses. They really need to get the staff together

Had first full meal on 6-27-15. Previously had dropped in for Happy Hour. She had filet mignon and I had ribeye. Split the Bibb salad. The waiter, who was excellent, suggested the creamed corn as a side. Great choice-totally fresh. We had one cocktail and one glass of wine. For dessert, we split a flourless chocolate torte. The bill, with tip, was as much as I can remember spending in NMB for a two- party dinner. The food, each and every item, was better than any I have had in the 14 years of eating out in NMB. Your choice.

Very nice, fine dining restaurant in North Myrtle Beach. Host staff was friendly. Our server, Whitney was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and attentive, especially with our two small children and my elderly parents. The sushi was really good. Large rolls with very fresh ingredients. Both the Lobster Bisque and the French Onion had great reviews from our table. Lobster Bisque was on the sweeter side which may have been from the Sherry. I had the sea bass special with the lobster risotto. The sea bass was seasoned and grilled to perfection. The risotto was a little thicker than I prefer but it redeemed itself with the large pieces of lobster it contained. Rest of the adults at the table had filets which were all prepared to each individual's requested temperature and were all really well received. Finally the flourless chocolate cake was unbelievable. A great way to end our evening.

The sushi was terrific along with the steak and lobster dinner. Demi was a great server and was always around when another round was needed. On the property of the north Beach Plantation hotel. Overall great service and food. A good choice.

I do not even know where to begin. This restaurant knows how to deliver an amazing meal, romantic ambiance and superb service! My husband and I were in MB for the week celebrating our first wedding anniversary and got tips on the romantic spots in the area with quality food. 21 Main was at the top of the list so we made reservations that Sunday via Open Table and mentioned that it was our anniversary so that it would be extra romantic. We got a little lost on the way but the hostess that answered when we called was very nice on the phone and directed us to the right location. We were a little late for our already late reservation but the entire staff was really nice to us. Our host was a very nice gentleman named Tarvon (sp?) and congratulated us on our anniversary. So did the manager! I started off with some red wine and oysters on the half shell from the Raw Bar with Mignonette Dressing and Cocktail Sauce. My husband ordered calamari friti with came with sweet cherry peppers, cilantro sour cream and pomodoro sauce. For our entree I had the Scallops 21 which were seared colossal scallops in a Thai butter sauce with the most delish, sweet, creamy mushroom risotto, with fried spinach. This dish was DIVINE! My husband had the 20 oz Delmonico (Boneless Ribeye) with a baked potato with all the fixings! For dessert we shared a Tiramasu which they topped with a candle to celebrate our anniversary. It was the cutest. I ordered another glass of the delish wine to end our night. Dinner was fabulous and I am a big fan of this establishment!

Went to 21 Main last night on the recommendations of the lifeguard at Myrtle Beach. It was nothing short of spectacular service great food and a relaxing atmosphere. We had their 21 sushi for an appetizer, we both had a fillet, salad, asparagus, and mushrooms. Sorry but no room for dessert. Marta was our server who did an exceptionable job along with several other staff members who would stop by to to check on us. Highly recommend 21 Main to anyone who wants friendly service and exceptionally good food.

10 minutes before we were approached by our waitress. One hour after ordering and we STILL don't have our food. They certainly don't seem busy enough for it to take an hour to get our food. Absolutely ridiculous. Order the day before you come and hope it's ready.

Golf tournament in myrtle, had dinner here two nights. Outstanding, New York strip one night but the second night on recommendation of waiter had the pork chop. Usually I don't order one cause they Can be dry and hard. This was the best pork chop ever. They say the restaurant gets the top grade (best 8 percent) and damn it's good. All sides and apps were very good. If I had anything negative to say it would be the desert, although good. Didn't live up to the mains Shout out to our girl Demi.

We've dined here twice and the great food and service keeps us coming back. The scallops are delicious. Mike Mill (sp?) was a wonderful waiter this past weekend (8/14/2015). Great customer service, knowledge of food preparation and good conversation. I'd definitely recommend dining at 21 Main!!! No second guessing.

I would recommend her every day....plus the food was amazing...we had little wait not only to be seated but for our food to come to the table...the hostess was amazing...she opened the door every time I had to step out with a smile on her face...I have a small child who they accommodated with her her food first and made everything quite welcoming....I'd recommend this restaurant and ask for Demi because she's and awesome server and will take care of you!!!

I am a few days late on this review but this place was amazing. We are here for my birthday and they absolutely deserve 5 stars. The service was execellent, the food tasted amazing, i am very happy I ate here on my birthday. I would recommend a reservation if you really want to eat here because the waits can be a bit long as I heard them tell people who where just walking in. It was amazing none the less. We had sushi as an appetizer, and veal and chicken as our main dishes.

4 stars, but I am very stingy with my 5 star ratings. This place was firing on all cylinders - interesting menu with creative twists on classics, top notch service, beautiful building and decor, and contrary to another reviewers opinion, unbeatable value! Granted, we were there during happy hour, but we had a cheese plate, mussels, calamari, martinis, a bottle of wine, a specialty sushi roll, and 6 pieces of Nigiri for about $100 (before tip). This place has only been open 9 months, and we thought it was a great find that is sure to become a local favorite.

The ambiance was lovely and the staff very friendly. We had a great time with our waiter, Patrick who was attentive to a fault. My before dinner drink was superbly crafted, beautifully balanced and altogether a delight.. We started with a lobster bisque...quite delectable, and salad likewise scrumptious. I had the seared sea scallops which were spectacular; thick, tender and cooked to perfection. My husband had the Delmonico and was disappointed in both the cut and the preparation. Just under 1.5 inches thick it was full of tendons and gristle and not cooked correctly at all. It was over-seared on the outside, tough and undercooked inside even for medium rare as it was ordered. Gettng a bad cut is luck of the draw, but cooking it badly is inexcusable. We would definitely return, and we recommend this restaurant despite the one shortfall because everything else was so good.

The wife and I ate here for our anniversary. We arrived early and sat at the bar where the bartender made us perfect Manhattans. We decided to try an appetizer from their Sushi bar. We ordered the baked mussels and a 21 main sushi roll. These were absolutely delicious, however, We finished our first Manhattans and had started the second before the appetizers appeared. I remember commenting to my wife it sure seemed like it took a long time to get the appetizer. We were seated at our table promptly at our reserved time. We ordered a bottle of 2007 Iron Horse Chardonnay that was uncorked and presented expertly. We both ordered the surf and turf special; 6oz filet with an 8 oz lobster tail. My wife started with scallop special and I ordered their French Onion soup. It's a good thing they brought a plentiful basket of wonderful house made bread, because it would be quite awhile before any food shows up. This is my main gripe with the restaurant; the food was absolutely delicious, it just took FOREVER for them to get the food out of the kitchen. Don't get me wrong I like having time to savor a really good meal, but this bordered on ridiculous. For a $200.00+ meal I was disappointed in their timing, plus they were anything other than full. I will go again to checkout if they do Any better and will update this review.

I took my family to the restaurant for the happy hour selections, but it was too busy to sit at the bar so the great people there allowed us to sit in the dining room and take advantage of the sushi and bar appetizer specials. the food was delicious, the drinks superb, ambiance was out of this world. we tried, sushi, steak, and the lobster bisque and each was worth the price plus some.chef louie toured the dining room and chatted for a while. what a treat! we will go back again and again!

The ambiance is terrific as is the food. The inside of the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous! We wanted tuna and even though it wasn't on the menu, our waitress Demi asked the chef if he could prepare it for us. Of course the answer was yes. The tuna and the steak were both some of the best we've had. I cannot say enough about our waitress, Demi. She was very attentive without being bothersome and had a great personality. This is definitely on our short list for the next time we return to MB.

Delicious hefty size portions and filling for the price!!The food was absolutely amazing!! The wife and I went here for Valentine's Day, had reservations and were seated immediately upon arrival. The staff was very friendly and food was served quickly. My wife got the seared tuna and I the scallops. Definitely will be going here again!

Simply amazing! Honestly one of the best meals I've ever had. The crab cake was one if the best ever and the scallops were incredible. You can taste the fact that they make all their sauces in house, everything was wonderful.

Visited on 6/23/2011 @630pm with my wife for dinner. Was looking for a great restaurant to enjoy a night out together and we found it. Completely a diamond in the rough! The restaurant was a little tough to locate due to a recent change in the roads but it's just north of the ocean creek condos (48th Ave) - Maps currently have the point wrong. Started off with Yellow Tail Sashimi which was absolutely some of the best sushimi I have had and followed with some Tuna Nigiri based on a recommendation as the chef had received a wonderful piece of Tuna that day. I then had the 21 North salad which included apricots, blue cheese, walnuts and a house dressing. The ingrediants and dressing worked very well together in the salad was very balanced and enjoyable. For dinner, my wife ordered the stuffed chicken with Panzanella bread pudding and asparagus. The bread pudding was something different and my wife really enjoyed it. I also tasted her bread pudding along with the herbed chicken sauce. It was seasoned and salted well and the chicken was perfectly cooked (not overdone and very moist and tender). I ordered their hanger steak medium rare which came with a potato "stick" and asparagus. The hanger steak was perfectly tender and had all the flavor one would expect from this steak (no idea why someone would order a filet over this). The potato "stick" was a block of mashed potatoes rolled in a light breading and fried but the potatoes overall did not have great or outstanding flavor. The asparagus was blanched just under crispy and was very tender. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone coming to myrtle beach looking for a nice night out or looking for a great happy hour and sushi. Ambiance was nice and casual dress is to be expected!

We went here for dinner since we got a Restaurant.com certificate. Staffs were very nice & polite, and very knowledgeable about the menu & what foods go on each plate. We started off with Seaweed salad & some nigiri sushi and they all very good. Sashimi & sushi roll dinner plate was good too. Half shell oysters, not too big for the size, but were fresh. We all went for Filet Mignon entree and it sure was great. Side order Grilled Asparagus was good too. We were so full but still try out the Creme Brulee for desert with Cappuccino, yummy! We enjoy the foods so much, and also got lost in our conversation, we were the last ones left the restaurant & it was so late passed their closing time, but the servers were never rush us out. We had great experience, nice place, good foods, great service. For sure will recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I had dinner her on June 02. It was our last night at Myrtle Beach, as well as our anniversary. We started off with the lobster bisque - it was delicious! Then moved on to our main course. My husband had the filet mignon, with a side of candied sweet potatoes, which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had scallops with risotto, which I also enjoyed. The ambiance here was great and our server was very attentive. We were checked on multiple times for refills, as well as to see if everything was going well. We ended with the cheesecake for dessert. It was so good and decadent.

A group of four of us dined at 21 Main at North Beach while in town for Christmas. The restaurant was almost completely empty, and we were there for a total of 2 hours. This was the slowest service we've experienced in Myrtle Beach. It took 20 minutes to get warm bread, after asking twice for it. Wrong sides were brought out with our meals, and it took quite a long time to replace the incorrect food. The server was very nice but rarely came back to check on us even though he only had two tables. The food was decent but not worth the outlandish price they charged for steaks. The manager was terrible and was standing at the hostess stand on his phone the entire time when he could have been checking in on the guests. Overall, it was overpriced and SLOW service. We will not be returning.

Our group of 6 adults and 2 very young children went here last night. I would love to give a five star rating but considering this is suppose to be a service plus restaurant and the fact that dinner came to over $400 I can't. I don't mind the price tag when you get what you pay for. We had dined at Greg Normans earlier in the week and paid well for a perfect evening. What's wrong with this restaurant? Too many helpers standing around waiting for I don't know what. We sat for nearly 15 minutes before anyone came to welcome us or take a drink order. Bread was never brought to the table-until we asked. Drinks were brought to the table and then we were basically forgotten for refills. Asked three times for hot water for the very quiet 2 month old. I finally asked one of the girls just standing around. I politely mentioned that the very quiet baby would soon become vocal if we couldn't warm her bottle. As for the food: If broccoli with Hollandaise sauce is going to cost $8 then the sauce should at least be pourable. Sent it back twice and then were told that this sauce is not meant to be warm. Knew that but expect to be able to eat it! Didn't expect to be reprimanded when the error was not ours. Had to send pork chop back because it wasn't cooked. Let me clarify that we never showed our displeasure and we remained very friendly despite all the errors. Shrimp and Grits were very good as was the filet mignon. Delmonico was nothing special. North Beach martini was excellent. Didn't stay for dessert. We have been fortunate to eat in many world class restaurants but this one needs more practice before I would try it again. We will be dining at 21 in NYC in September and will see if it has mastered the service one expects from a high priced restaurant. In closing I can say our servers were friendly and genuine. Perhaps they will work out the bumps in time. However with such hefty prices I expected a different experience.

Best restaurant in Myrtle Beach. My wife and I have been in MB for ten years. In that time we have never experienced the combination of service and quality offered at 21 Main. Their menu offers a large variety of selections plus chef's specials. The wine list is interesting and the staff has been well trained. We have dined there 8 times over the past four months and have never been dissatisfied. It seems to get better and better. The Bone in Ribeye is a treat and their Sushi is done very well. Try not to miss this terrific establishment when you visit the Grand Strand.

Just finished our meal at 21 Main. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly service. All of the food was delicious. Unfortunately the "prime" New York Strip, although seasoned perfectly, was full of gristle only half being somewhat edible. The dining room manager, although very pleasant, offered another steak but told him no. I was not up for digging through another steak looking for decent meat. He offered to comp our drinks or dessert and ultimately the dessert was comped. I am of the thought process that you comp the product that is not satisfactory and they didn't. A $39 prime steak should be excellent. A great start at service but ultimately they don't get it. Nice place but the owners set this tone. Come on guys(21 Main), the New York strip is your signature steak so make sure your product is as good as you say it is. Maybe your philosophy is that most tourist never return and you don't care but this is November. This is not the tourist season but mostly locals and property owners. We were out looking for high end restaurant to recommend and we found this not to be one I will not return or recommend.

This is one of the most over priced restaurant. Service was horrible. I got sick after eating. Tables are so close together that u can't have a private conversation. I will never go back. Appeared to have a good bar crowd but we were looking for a good meal. You can get a better steak at Logans without the price tag.

We has dinner at 21 after reading Yelp reviews. It is so hard to find a really good restaurant in Myrtle Beach but this certainly delivered. We had a delicious sushi appetizer followed by a NY strip and lamb chops. Where I did think they could have given you one more chop for the money they were some of the best I have ever had. The restaurant was not overly crowded as we were there on a Monday but the service etc was top notch. A definite do over.

Took my son and his wife for his 50th birthday. Front of the house were very warm.Kieth our waiter was very nice, Sushi was yummy.Drinks were 50/50 Kier royal good Margarita awful.Escargot dry and tastless,Oysters with cornmeal nice but only four.Onion soup good.We had two 32 oz.steaks fifty dollars each. One cooked med rare as ordered, other was raw?Waiter sliced but should has seen it was under cooked.Took out to kitchen and put on grill.Ruined the steak.Added scallops to make surf and turf. Two lonley scallops came on a plate undercooked for$12.00..If you charge $50.00 for a steakYOU SHOULD KNOW HOW TO COOK IT.My veal chop was cooked right but sauce was so salty killed chop.Mushrooms and spinach alacart were to salty to eat.I like salt but does anyone taste this chiefs food.Charged $7.00 extra for Bordelaise sauce. My sons martini glass had a chip on the side waiter said they would throw away glass when he was finished??? When you charge New York prices the food should be impeccable. We were very pleasant and I did not complain and ruin my sons birthday but I would be hard pressed to return with company.I am a foody and the $400.00 price tag was not deserved.

Everything about this restaurant was amazing. From the grand decor to the friendly staff to the warm bread basket with fresh whipped butter, to the entrees and the services. We ordered the filet mignon and colorado lamb (2 perfectly seasoned and grilled lambchops). They were both cooked to order and one of the best we've ever had (and we've been to a lot of high-end steakhouses around the country/world). The sides were a-la-carte, and we got the creamed spinach and the jumbo baked potato. The creamed spinach was way too salty, but I'm giving them a pass on it because everything else was just so amazing. I still couldn't stop eating it despite its over-saltiness... I just ate it with the potato and they evened out. The jumbo baked potato was jumbo all right, between my fiance and I, we didn't even eat half of it. It came with a carousel of sour cream, bacon bits, parsley and cheese (I think it was either mozzarella or white cheddar - we were a bit tipsy on wine so can't quite remember). Basically, you put on as much of them on the baked potato as you want, which I liked, because my fiance is always asking for extra sour cream. Unfortunately we were way too full to even think of dessert, but all of their desserts are made in-house as well (according to our wonderful waiter), so we'll have to try it out the next time we go back to Myrtle Beach!

I came here by myself as just a weekend getaway and wanted to treat myself to something nice. Came here already knowing what I wanted. Service was great. Although they were not busy. I ordered calamari which was very, very fresh. I did not care to much for the sauces that came with it, so it was a bit bland. Spicy tuna roll was by far the freshest I have ever had. It was great. Made me wish I had only gotten sushi! I had the seared tuna steak. The whole plate itself was a little boring. I did not like the glaze they had for the tuna. The tuna tasted great and was extremely fresh, the inside was still cold in parts, which was so disappointing. I don't want to think they were rushing, but that might have been the case. Overall fresh, fresh seafood. Great sushi. Ok actual food plates. Great atmosphere. Not being from around here, I would try another place next time.

Sushi (21 Main and Dynamite rolls), beef tips, scallops and tuna steak were ordered by my group. I tried all and all were excellent. Great "date night" atmosphere. Excellent staff. Superb sushi chef. Even with the volume of restaurants in this area I'll still return here soon. Support this business! Delish!!!

Experienced a fabulous meal at somewhat undiscovered restaurant as a bit out of the way given easy access to other restaurants on the other side of rte 17. great wine list .we are regular sushi eaters and this was the best sushi we ever had. other food was excellent. only one in party had a steak at this steak place and he said was great cut, juicy and cooked perfectly. staff was very friendly and inviting. We had fortune of having Matt as our server; efficient, friendly and knowledgable. High end but not exorbitantly priced. we went on wine down wed when most bottles 1/2 priced. give this excellent place a try.

We came here to celebrate my husb 40th bday. We arrived early for our reservation and had a cocktail. My husb ordered Johnny Walker blue for $54 and they were out of it. So he tried a diff brand for about $30 which was a sip if that. I had a dirty martini so our bar bill was absorbent but the service is what you pay for. Our dinner was outstanding!! Our waiter Patrick was well knowledged and suggested the NY strip to my husb. We decided on apps 1st, lobster bisque and oyster on 1/2 shell. Our tastebuds were awaken with the best bisque ever. I had the scallops and he had the steak. This was probably the best meal I have ever eaten. The sides are ala carte and they give enough for the 2 of us. The manager stopped by to ask us how our meal was and I like when managers do that. Shows they care about their patrons. Dessert was 1 piece of cheesecake w a candle on top plus fresh fruit w port wine and cream. I'm not a fan of cheesecake but my husb loves it. I can honestly say I ate 1/2 of it. Absolutely worth trying!! All in all our dinner and service was above and beyond. Must come back someday !

Beautiful place with beautiful food. I highly recommend the lobster bisque and the macaroni and cheese as a side dish. My guy had the scallops 21 and he liked it. I had the filet mignon and it was delicious. I gave it three stars because the bread they served was extremely dry and crunchy. The waiter was friendly but hovered far too much. Didn't fill my drink very often either. Plus we were sat next to a filthy-mouthed family where every word was f*** this and f*** that. It wasn't the restaurant's fault but it wasn't a very pleasant experience.

My husband and I went here for dinner after reading the great reviews on yelp and open table. The Brie appetizer was incredible. We also got the lobster bisque mostly due to the suggestions by other reviewers. I did not care for the bisque. It was room temperature and very sweet. It did have large pieces of lobster though, but a $13.00 bisque should have a lot of seafood. On to dinner... The scallops were the best I have ever eaten, the tuna was slightly undercooked, and cold, but very fresh, and the filet was over cooked, but a quality cut of meat. The Mac & cheese side was also recommended to us and it was also very good. So, overall a good, but not great meal. The atmosphere is southern but very very understated,. The restaurant was full of children this evening and it was very noisy, so conversation was difficult. Also, the location being in a resort made it difficult to locate. I would recommend this restaurant and would like to return since my mediocre dining experience could be attributed to a lot of different factors. It was disconcerting though to have meat not cooked to requested temperature at a high end establishment.

Upscale dining experience without all the fuss. The servers were pleasant, the water glasses rarely made it down to half, the barkeeps were enjoyable, and lots of great food. Pre dinner drinks included a "Cherry Limeade" which my friend thought was great. My bourbon buddy has been in search of a great Old Fashioned and I think he finally found 1 (and ordered 2!). The wine selection seemed also favorable among other staples like bourbon. Be prepared though for an over priced glass! A $28 bottle of knob creek turns into a $12 drink on the rocks, so abut $4-5 too much...but you are paying for the experience. For starters our table ordered a portion of ribs....and honestly if the place wasn't classy I would have ordered an entire rack. Amazing sauce with lots lip smacking deliciousness!! Waiter suggested the Santa Barbara roll and it got rave reviews from the table along with the spicy mayo and panzu sauces. The place is a steak destination and it certainly did not disappoint. The table enjoyed a couple of strips and a petite filet. The temps were perfect. The strips came on top of polenta and an amazing sauce that seemed to be a perfect dipping sauce for everything! 2 of us ate for less than $80 (w/o tip) and felt like we had a true dining experience. Great date night destination. P.S. Get the Mac and Cheese!

Had a perfect meal tonight! The ribeye was perfectly cooked, the appetizers were so tasty, and the children's menu was perfect. The service was great and the atmosphere was relaxed and up scale. I would recommend the Brie appetizer with the fresh oysters. Tomahawk was so tender and perfect to share. We always make sure to do dinner here at every visit! Thanks Matt for great service!!

High end steak house. NY Strip @ $39. Side of double baked whipped potato is an additional $7. Salads to start were excellent@ $9 each, and a supplement of grilled shrimp on top is $12, which my wife had as her main. Wine by the bottle was reasonably priced. Service was inconsistent.

Service and quality of food was great and would probably warrant and additional star if it wasn't for the SALTY steak. UGH! I ordered the Delmonico and as a steak lover, was ready to devour a juicy steak. Imagine my dismay when all I tasted with my first bite was salt...I ate another bite just in case I bit into part that was inadvertently dropped in a vat of salt. Nope, same thing. So I was disappointed that I was paying Morton's/Ruth's Chris type prices for steak that had to be the worst that I had in a long time. The steak was tender and juicy, it was just sooooo salty. What a disappointment. On the other hand, my other family members enjoyed their meals. The pork chop was flavorful and tender and my in laws loved it. The mussels appetizer from the sushi menu was devoured by my kids faster than I could blink. So good service, a nice place but just really disappointed in the steaks.

Our group had a great time here! This is a beautiful restaurant that's perfect for a girls' night out. The menu is amazing and we enjoyed watching the beautiful food rolling out of the kitchen as much as we enjoyed our own meals. They have an impressive sushi menu if you're interested but we stuck with the dinner one. Shrimp and grits, lamb shank, ahi tuna, lobster bisque, and beef tips were devoured and my group was very happy. The food matched the ambiance and I'd highly recommend this experience if you're looking for a nice dinner out with friends.

Went to Myrtle beach for the weekend and this was the first place we went. The service was very good and professional. I had the jumbo sea scallops that were seared perfectly. The wild mushroom risotto served besides it was very well seasoned and flavorful. We got several desserts for the table including candied bacon creme brûlée, a berry shortcake, and homemade caramel pecan ice cream. All were outstanding. Make sure to have a reservation.

Just finished our meal and the entire family loved everything! The atmosphere was great and our server Marta was so helpful and professional. The service was excellent! We had the carpaccio appetizer and the Baked Brie. Both were perfect. The filet tips, strip steak, seared ahi tuna, and sushi were excellent entrees; we didn't leave a bite! Will definitely try to come back before we leave. Great restaurant!

Fantastic!! We visit Myrtle quite frequently and will definitely be returning to 21 Main. Our steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly. As other posters mentioned, the Brie appetizer is incredible. I had a specialty cocktail that was great. The mac and cheese side was delicious. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I only wish the decor was a little cozier.

This place is an up and coming dinning experience when the homes are completed and people are in the area more often. This place is huge but there was only two diners in for the night. Many of the folks at the bar are locals from the nearby condo hotel. The food and service was excellent. A trust on the dining experience can only be measured when the place gets more people. The lobster bisque was awesome and won an award for it. The tomahawk steak was cooked perfectly. Definitely one of the best places to eat in the area.

We had high expectations as my wife is from NYC. And since just relocated from CT to NC North Myrtle Beach will be our new summer fun place. No doubt the place is nice inside, and the food was good, but it was not spectacular, and for the price the overall experience was subpar. The Sushi was fresh and tasty but not standout. The Crabcake was also good, but you can get better across the street. What really took us back was the service, and it was not just us that experienced it as a couple other tables were too. It was not rude, but it was not attentive. The waitress did not take the menus after we ordered, the bus boy passed by 2x without taking our empty bread plates that were stacked at the corner of the table. It took 5 minutes to get parm cheese, while my kids pasta got cold. My water glass sat empty for 7 minutes and I then had to ask for more water. Really? My wife made a comment to waitress about the second glass of the same wine being bitter, and she said nicely "well I saw him pour it." How about "I am sorry Mrs. would you like another glass." Then we waited for 10 minutes for her to pick up the check, Maybe it was because we had 2 kids and they don't like kids? Maybe they were focused on the high rolling 12 top next to us? What really got me was when we were leaving and walked past the exit, they did not even say thank you and have a good night! I know this place gets good reviews, maybe it was an off night, or a new crew for the Summer, but we won't be back.

Best food EVER!!! We found this place on Yelp and decided to try it while we were vacationing, so glad we did. The Sushi was fabulous, best we have ever had. We ordered the Surf and Turf special. Steak was perfectly cooked, melt in your mouth good. The shrimp was delicious. Crime brûlée for dessert, very good. The service was excellent (we had a party of 8) I look forward to returning to the area for vacation just so we can eat here again.

Wonderful service, amazing ribeye steak that cut like butter and didn't need any sauce other than it's own juices. Shrimp was just as good! We got the spinach, mushrooms and asparagus as sides and they were all wonderful. My dad and husband split the tomahawk ribeye. It was huge and yummy too. Mom had the scallops and loved them. All in all a great experience. Would recommend to anyone coming to the area. Be prepared to pay a pretty penny, well worth it though.

Great restaurant with exceptional service. It's hard to find good quality food in Myrtle Beach, actually it's almost impossible. The food here is exceptional quality and the service is top notch. I had the ahi tuna, which was fantastic. The wine list was extensive and the atmosphere was that of a true fine dining restaurant. We will be back again!

Very nice restaurant. The decor was pleasant and very cool and southern. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was pricey and mostly well done. My steak was way underdone. I asked for medium and when it first arrived it was pretty rare inside like the outside was seared and the inside was still mooing. They took it back and brought it back out in a few mins. Still very rare in the middle. Sent back again and when it came out the third time it was pretty well done...more than I was expecting and pretty charred on the outside. ..which is a shame for a prume piece of $40 meat!!! The baked potato accompaniment was huge and tasty. The salad was fine. The dessert recommended, a pineapple crumble could have been skipped. Way too sweet and way too much crumble on top. Order the meat more well done than you are used to because they undercook it. My brother chose medium well and it looked perfect for medium instead. I'd go back but skip the salad and order my meat differently. A bit hard to find too...off of 17 down in a private neoghborhood.

I've been to much nicer places and had much better food at similar prices. My son (18) and I went to 21 Main (7/30/13). The decor is nice, but I was disappointed when there was no valet parking as indicated on Yelp. Our server was a nice enough fellow who seemed eager to please, but he didn't visit our table frequently enough. First the good... My son had the wedge salad and loved it. I got the Steakhouse salad with the house dressing and it was excellent. I loved the toasted pecans on the salad. The bread basket was good as well. A variety of four rolls, some focaccia bread which was well baked. Now the bad... I ordered the filet tips medium and they were cooked just slightly less than well done. Also, they were not well trimmed. I chewed thru half of them and found tendon in a couple of pieces. My son had the 10oz lobster tail which was small, IMO. I didn't weigh it...but I'd be surprised if it weighed more then 8oz. My son also ordered the whipped potatos which were bland and dry Based on the reviews, I had high hopes for 21 North. Perhaps they were just having an off night, but I doubt I'll return on my next visit to MB.

So good. That pretty much sums it up. Oysters were delicious and fresh. Brie appetizer to die for! Tomahawk steak was killer. Sides of mushrooms were so yummy. Dined here late August 2013. Best steak I've ever had, hands down. My three friends all agreed as well. They cooked our filet's to perfection, specifically mine (well-done). Rarely have I ever ordered a steak well-done and the restaurant cooked it that way. Not so with 21 Main. I couldn't believe how soft and delicious my non-pink filet was. We ordered the whipped potatoes and mac and cheese for sides which were good but nothing crazy. No apps, no dessert. Mixed drink was strong and service was good, however the gentleman filling our water glasses did a better job taking care of us than our waitress did: he seemed to be more attentive and had more of a personality than our server. If you're looking for a delicious meal and not too worried about spending a lot of money then go to this place.

This was a fantastic dining experience. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. And the food was truly awe-inspiring. Blue Point oysters on the half shell were creamy and just the proper consistency. Our waiter, Keith, did a great job of anticipating our every need. The beef was dry aged and phenomenal. Bone-in Kansas City strip was perfect. The frites were crispy and delicious. The atmosphere felt very Southern. I highly recommend this eatery. I am re-affirming my 5 star rating one year later. Matt was our server and he and his team took fantastic care of my party of 8. The Oysters Rockefeller was amazing. A great dining experience, again!

Fantastic! The food was amazing. I could not complain about one aspect of our meal other than i was full and could not enjoy anymore of their food. We ordered sushi which was fresh as could be. The service was perfect and very knowledgeable about the menu. We did not get steaks but a table next to us did. Their sever asked everyone to cut into their steaks to make sure it was cooked to their liking. This place wanted nothing but perfection. You will not be disappointed.

Decent food and very convenient to North Beach Plantation guests but not worthy of the high prices. Ambiance was not up to par with typical high end steakhouses either. Our bill was over $200 for 4 adult meals and one child's meal. Included 2 glasses of wine and one mixed drink.

NOT a 'Prime' Steakhouse. Great atmosphere, service was great menu looked really good but the food was mediocre steakhouse. We had the Delmonico Ribeye (we like Ribeyes over filets) and we have had MUCH better at the chain steakhouses. Steaks were more to the done side of the scale and full of gristle. Really disappointing after the hype and especially for the price. If you want true 'prime' ribeye or filet, go to NY Prime in MB, THAT IS a true Prime and worth every penny. We had a hard time believing the Delmonico's at 21 Main were even 'choice'.

Enjoyed a very nice meal here. A bit pricey, but the food was well prepared, and the meat was top notch. The sides can easily be shared by 2-4 people, so that helps. Saw a man next to us get one of the BIG steaks. It was amazing looking but came on a bone, that, no kidding was easily 2 ft. long. Now if you are paying for a steak that is, say, 32oz, is that humongous bone part of that weight ? If so, come on, cut that bone down to 1ft, cause really it was over the top !!! The oysters Rock. appetizer was FABULOUS Good ! Salmon entree was good, but shrimp on top were overcooked and I thought the entire dish called out for some juiciness to it, maybe it needed a sauce to it. Tasted good, but needed --- something. The ambiance and wait staff were both very pleasant, staff were just right. Would go again.

Was there over the New Years Eve holiday and ate dinner on night and then attended party on New Years Eve - First night's dinner was very good - service was spot-on. Only glitch and maybe it is just a personal complaint of mine - when you order a wine and the restaurant comes back and says they do not have it but have one similar and within a few dollars of the one you originally chose, you should offer the available wine for the price of the original - now I am not talking about at $30 bottle that is not available but they want to substitute a $60 bottle - but a $40 Bottle substituted for a $38 bottle - come on! The server responded to our question if we would be receiving the available wine at the same price with a shrug and response that he would have to ask the manager. Just didn't sit well. Also, very surprised that when we walked in there were empty tables everywhere but we told we would have to wait the 30 min to our actual reservation time. So 30 minutes later when we were seated - still empty tables all around and it pretty much stayed that way all evening - guess there were a lot of no-shows. French onion soup was so good, not salty - Caesar salad was wonderful too. Partner had ribeye and he loved it. Now onto Party next night - seemed a little disorganized at first but once band starting playing ( great band) you didn't notice it. I felt like the pass around appetizers where being pushed right under my nose. And they were just meh, nothing to write home about. Steaks were only done medium rare and medium - however, took 3 tries to get a medium rare steak but partner said lobster was wonderful. It was a fun time and loved the fact that North Beach Plantation where we were staying picked us up and took us back via shuttle. Nice touch.

Really, very good ! Excellent service from the golf pro. Get a coupon from restaurant.com Wine suggestions by the glass...were fantastic, try the Three Brooms white. Everything we had was as expected or beyond. Even absent the coupon, still a very good value. Not the best on the beach, but well worth your consideration. Not overly ambitious menu, but sufficiently creative to warrant some ooohs and ahhhs. Nice ambiance with a pleasant diverse crowd. While we did not try any, others stated the sushi was superb. I would most assuredly recommend this restaurant based on our one experience....although I don't usually review based on one experience. Take that Batman !

Spent 36th anniversary and wow what a treat. Watch out for spicy candied nuts in 21 salad, hot. Wanted another lobster bisque, YUM, bowl was not big enough. Wife's Filet was phenomenal and cooked perfect as well as my Delmonico. A must is the yams. A great meal topped with chocolate torte, I mean chocolate, just take a bite and let it melt in your mouth. Bar area was a little noisy.
